Mr. Lewis earned his BS in Metallurgical
and Materials Engineering, and his MS in Materials Science at the University of Florida,
Gainesville. He is a licensed Professional Engineer (Lic. No. 39552) in the state of
Florida.
28 Years experience in Materials
Engineering and Failure Analysis
10 Years industrial experience as
in-house Materials Consultant in Home Office Engineering Departments in Petro-chemical and
Chemical industries; conducted materials performance research at marine laboratory
operated by Primary Metals Company.
Since 1984, has been a consultant to
industry, government agencies and the legal profession conducting failure analysis and
testing of a broad range of materials, consumer and commercial products and structures.

Richard O. Lewis
Qualified as an expert, Mr.
Lewis has testified over 12 times during the past 15 years in federal, state and circuit
courts in the fields of materials failure analysis, material properties and performance,
corrosion performance and corrosion control, and interpretation of codes and standards.

- Mr. Lewis is a technical presenter and author, and is a technical society member of the
American Society for Metals (ASM), the Metallurgical Society (AIME), National Association
of Corrosion Engineers (NACE), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), the Wire
Association International, and the American Welding Society (AWS).
